This policy covers the "Construction Intelligence Uploader" application, a piece of software built and operated by the person who runs the Construction Intelligence YouTube channel. It explains what the application does with your Google data when you sign in to authorize it.
This application is used by a single channel owner to publish videos to the Construction Intelligence YouTube channel and read that channel's own performance data. It is not a public tool, and it does not sign in or manage YouTube accounts on behalf of anyone other than the channel owner.
When you authorize this application with your Google account, it requests two permissions (scopes):
youtube.upload) — used to upload video files, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and tags to the Construction Intelligence channel.yt-analytics.readonly) — used to read view counts, watch time, and similar performance metrics for videos already published on the channel, so future videos can be planned more effectively. The application does not request access to your email, personal profile information, contacts, files, or any other Google account data beyond what is listed above.
An OAuth access token and refresh token are stored locally on the channel owner's own computer, used only to make authorized calls to the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API on the channel owner's behalf. Analytics figures retrieved from YouTube are stored locally to help plan future content. No data obtained through these permissions is sold, shared with advertisers, or provided to any third party.
Tokens and locally stored analytics data are kept only as long as the application is in active use. Authorization can be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions page, which immediately stops the application from accessing your data.
